Select the Brush tool ( ), and click and hold on the arrow to the right of the Brush
Preset picker in the Options bar at the top of your screen. Select the Soft Round brush
preset, and use the slider to change the Size value to approximately 45. Click on the
Options bar to make the Brush Preset picker disappear.
Select the Soft Round brush and change the size to 45 .

9 Press D on your keyboard to revert the foreground and background colors back to
the default of black and white. Press X on your keyboard to swap the foreground and
background colors. Black is now the foreground color and white is the background color.
10 Place your brush at the top of the butterl y, and begin painting from left to right and
then downward. As you paint, the i lter ef ects are concealed by the layer mask you
are adding.
