The similar test has been done with the two oversized networks: sn0199 and ngt01-151 , but
in two steps. First, the simulations were run for the initial networks and the total demand
increase of 51%, at increments of 3%; the results of these calculations are shown in Tables
7.8 and 7.10 respectively. The repeated runs were done at the demand increment of 5%, i.e.
total 98% but starting from the lower level of demand than the original demand. The
corresponding results in Tables 7.9 and 7.11 therefore show the situation where the added
buffer is slowly being lost until the networks have reached the same initial state. In Table 7.9,
it is the simulation sn019914 done with the same demand as of the network sn0199 in Table
7.8. In Table 7.11, it is the simulation ngt01-15113 done with the same demand as of the
network nbt01-151 in Table 7.10. Consequently, Tables 7.8 and 7.10 show the stress
situations where the minimum pressure drops below the threshold, yet in non-optimised
network, while Tables 7.9 and 7.11 show low demand/high buffer situations.
