CORRELATION OF RELIABILITY MEASURES WITH DEMAND GROWTH
In the first run of simulations, each network has been assessed for the demand growth of
32%. This has been achieved by adjusting the general demand multiplier exponentially at the
increment of 2% (gradually, in 14 steps). The average value of available demand fraction
( ADF avg ,) has been calculated for the PDD threshold of 20 mwc. The results in Figures 7.3 to
7.6 show the correlation of NPI , PBI and NRT with ADF avg ; the trends of growth are obvious
for all three measures.
The results in Figure 7.3 show the drop of ADF avg from 0.99 to approximately 0.79, caused
by the demand increase. Furthermore, the better connected network sn80 is more reliable
although with the lower values of NPI , PBI and NRT compared to sn73 ; this is the result of
larger demand in sn80 , which can be observed in Table 7.1.
