A link that creates the same effect if being removed from the system is called a bridge . Both
cases are illustrated in Figure 6.8, in red colour. The figure also shows that removal of any
other node or link will maintain the network integrity.

SIMULATION RUNS, CASE 16 NETWORKS
The first run of simulations was done with the set of 16 networks discussed in Chapter 5,
schematised here in Figure 6.9. The layouts with gradual increase of complexity have been
constructed to enable easier monitoring of correlation with the connectivity measures.
