The. training. of. all. workers,. regarding. safety. and. health,. has. been. demonstrated.
to. reduce. costs. and. increase. the. bottom. line.. Workers. must. be. trained. in. safety.
and. health,. the. same. way. as. job. skill. training. would. be. conducted. in. the. form. of.
on-the-job. training. (OJT). or. job. instruction. training. (JIT). (see. Figure  20.1). Most.
employers. and. safety. professionals. realize. that. a. skilled. worker. is. a. safe. worker..
