Hong Kong Wetland Park
On the Light Rail system, with its own station, Hong Kong Wetland Park [map]
( www.wetlandpark.gov.hk ; Wed-Mon 10am-5pm) covers an area of 61 hectares (151
acres), and shows the diversity of Hong Kong's wetland ecosystem. The park is between the
high rises of Tin Shui Wai and Shenzhen across the border. Circular walks meander through
the wetlands and there are hides with telescopes for birdwatching. Almost 130 bird species
have been recorded here, including varieties of egret and heron, and the rare black-faced
spoonbill. Numerous buses, including bus 967 from Admiralty via Central and West
Kowloon, stop at the Wetland Park entrance.
