The application of soil layer on the top of the tailing heaps, allows the
revegetation with introduced and naturally invasive plants from the
surroundings, but the variability of the Cd concentration and other metals
strongly affects the survival of the plants, as a result, revegetation develops in
patches, and the percentage of surviving plants is low. Plants are able to grow
