woods on the mound and the woods between it and the fort, watch for woodpeckers and, in
winter, groups of ruby-crowned and golden-crowned kinglets and northern juncos. The park
has a bluebird trail of nest boxes along the roads and the edges of the fields, and eastern blue-
birds can often be seen. Also watch for loggerhead shrike along the edges of the woods.
