Yazoo National Wildlife Refuge
From US 61, there are two routes to Yazoo National Wildlife Refuge. From the north, take
SH 436; the refuge is only about 5 miles; turn right onto Washington County Road 34 in Bear
Garden, then go left on Washington County Road 97 to reach the headquarters. From the
south, take SH 14 west from Rolling Fork, and then go north on SH 1 where it intersects SH
14. On SH 1, an entrance sign points you to the right (east) into the refuge after 10.7 miles
from SH 14. This entrance road is Washington County Road 97, and it will take you straight
to the headquarters.
