eventually to a renewed appreciation of the bridge, and revealed the hand of the master in
its design.
What has yet to be explored by art historians are the hidden sources of contemporary
toilet seat design. I suspect that more than one art major with a passion for sculpture has
channeled his or her frustrated energies into the plethora of designs for tubs and toilets.
Who knows what richness of classical references may lie waiting to be discovered along
