2.4.7 Tools
Make sure you have the right tools for the show. If you have the chance,
check those tests you shot the same software that you are going to be using
for the show. Test all the different steps of the post. Try a few crazy things
just to stress the system and know the limits (you will be asked to do crazy
things in the show at one point or another).
If possible, have someone who is extremely IT/network savvy close by.
You will need that person at some point. You might also want to work
with someone who is good at creating scripts to make repetitive post tasks
automatic. It could be a huge time and money saver.
Most important of all: Keep some of the tools budget hidden in a drawer so
you can have it ready at the end, when all the money is gone, and you need
to rush the purchase of a certain plug-in, script, tool or hired professional
that will save your show from total disaster.
