projected workload and more. However, one of the two systems does so with
fewer steps. As a result of testing, then, the team has reduced its options to
one editing system that i ts their specii c show.
As with all of the other workl ow elements, tests can address any of six
process areas: input/output, calibration, monitoring/reviewing, correction/
grading, analysis and quality control.
2.3 Inputs and Outputs
Each show and workl ow has its own unique set of inputs and outputs.
The managing team dei nes inputs and outputs for the show as a whole
and for each of the workl ows. To help us better understand the day-to-day
operations of a show, we distinguish between show inputs and outputs
and workl ow inputs and outputs with each interacting to create the show
(Figure 2.10) .
