each of the process areas in each workl ow.
2.2.6 Tests
Tests are activities that subject workl ows to various stresses to observe the
effects of the stresses on the workl ow. The managing team is responsible for
testing each element in each workl ow to insure proposed solutions are cost-
effective given the resources available. Tests help managing teams establish
and evaluate targets and suggest modii cations to teams, tools and techniques
in their own workl ow and in others.
There are two kinds of tests to consider:
Feasibility Tests —Does each workl ow, element and process operate as
expected to deliver material to target specii cations?
Stress Tests —Does each workl ow, element and process operate as
expected under greater workloads than expected? What happens? What
breaks down?
