2.2.3 Tools
Tools include hardware, software, networks, databases, documentation, and
related systems used by teams to implement techniques. The managing
team is responsible for evaluating, selecting and resourcing tools for the
workl ows.  As with Techniques, Tools address one or more of six process
areas: input/output, calibration, monitoring/viewing, correction/grading,
analysis and quality control. Tools consist of standalone systems or 3D-specii c
plug-ins or enhancements to existing systems.
The managing workl ow itself uses tools that are also found on 2D shows,
such as systems for:
• Version Control
• Issue Reporting/Tracking
• Asset Management
• Scheduling
• Resource Allocation
• Budgeting
