2D conditions plus 3D-specii c temporal and spatial conditions (Figure 1.7) .
1.5.1 Core Temporal Condition
The core temporal condition for 3D is one we already discussed above: L/R
synchronization . A synchronized image pair is one in which L and R images in
an image pair represent the same instant in time as action unfolds in front of
the imaging system. If either L or R observably leads or lags the other, image
pairs are not technically valid 3D frames. Lead or lag can be determined by
observation and by measuring the timing of each frame against a calibrated
source of time synchronization (Figure 1.8) .
