Russian feature Mystery of The Snow Queen , and The Fox Lover in China. Sony
hired him to supervise the 2D to 3D conversion of the blockbuster 2012 for
theatrical release in China and on 3D Blu Ray worldwide. He is currently
shooting Gone With Bullets a 3D feature for China's beloved director, actor
and writer Jiang Wen. Collea has taught 3D to members of the Directors
Guild of America, International Cinematographers Guild and members of
the Producers Guild of America.
Dave Franks
Dave is a Los Angeles based Stereographer and Postproduction Stereo
Supervisor. He has worked for years in 3D production and post at both the
supervisory and artist levels on natively shot stereo features and broadcast
programs, complete post-conversions, as well as on native-conversion hybrids.
In addition to creating and i nishing 3D content, Dave has worked at the Sony
3D Technology Center in Culver City, CA teaching the on-set portion of the
DGA/International Camera Guild 3D boot-camp, educating industry veterans
on creative work in the 3D medium. Dave's role on his i rst 3D project was
to supervise the Visual Effects and Postproduction on the indie concert-movie
“U2 3D,” which garnered many accolades, including a Visual Effects Society
award for “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project.” Dave is
an active member of the International 3D Society and the Visual Effects
Society and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Engineering from
the Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester.
Ray Hannisian
Ray has more than 35 years experience working with 3D images. He is
internationally sought after as a stereographer, speaker/lecturer and trainer.
Since 1976, Hannisian has created stereo content and has designed, built, and
utilized his own 3D video systems. While at 3ality Digital (2006-2011), he
was involved in all aspects of stereography, from capture to postproduction,
product and equipment design. He was instrumental in developing
techniques for “depth balancing”, which have since become standard in
3D postproduction. Ray was the Stereoscopic Depth Balancing Lead on
U23D, and served as Stereographer for 3ality Digital's most notable projects,
including Chuck vs. The Third Dimension, The Caretaker starring Dick Van Dyke,
Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D, Phil Driscoll in Trier 3D, Texas Chainsaw 3D ,
the Katie Perry 3D music video “Wide Awake,” and multiple i rst-time live
broadcasts of sports and music events around the world. Ray maintains a
