Juan I. Cabrera, Technical Editor, Real-Life 3D Post
Juan I. Cabrera is a Colorist and Stereographer with 14 years of experience
in the i eld of Postproduction. He began his career in Spain, where he started
two studios and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. He
came to US in 2011, and since then has worked on 3D productions such as
Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man, Star Trek: Into Darkness and Transformers:
Age of Extinction . among other projects. Juan specializes in both i nishing
and workl ow design and is a senior-level operator of the high-end SGO
Mistika system.
Jeff Amaral
An avid 3D Filmmaker, Jeff brings both a creative and technical passion to 3D
cinema. In addition to over 20 years of feature i lm production experience,
Jeff has been actively working in 3D Cinema since the 2005 IMAX/Playtone
documentary Magnii cent Desolation . Jeff became a leading Stereographer
and 3D Producing Engineer with the 3ality Technica team that made global
broadcast history with the i rst live 3DTV transmissions in 2008-9. After
traveling the world to help launch the i rst live 3D Broadcasts in 5 countries,
Jeff has worked with teams to create compelling 3D imagery for numerous
live music, sports, television, and feature i lm projects, including The Great
Gatsby, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Amazing Spider-Man, My Dream 3D
and The Caretaker .
George Bellias
For 20 years, George has owned and operated Jade Productions, a boutique
postproduction studio in Los Angeles specializing in 3D and HD editorial
and i nishing. After many years of editing large multi-camera concerts for
the biggest acts in the music industry, George began his 3D career editing
Larger Than Life in 3D , a 3D concert i lm featuring Dave Matthews Band,
Ben Harper and Gogol Bordello. Since then he has edited 3D projects
for Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, Peter Gabriel,
Jane's Addiction and We Are The World 25: Haiti , a 3D music video and
documentary. To date, George has edited more than 16 3D projects
(concerts, TV shows and documentaries) along with 70 2D concerts. He
has authored and mastered over 75 nationally released DVD titles. He has
written articles on 3D postproduction and has spoken on numerous 3D
panels including the 3D Film Festival, SXSW Music Festival and 3ality
Technica 3D Music Forum.
