4.6.2.13 Issue: Lens/Distortion Mismatch
This mismatch occurs because optical elements in L and R image paths
distort imagery differently (Figure 4.11) . Resolving lens barrel and pincushion
distortion is trivial in 2D. The problem in 3D is not the distortion as much
as it is the difference in distortion between L and R.
4.6.2.14 Solution: Correct or Duplicate
Reduce the distortion introduced in L and/or R by the mirror, lens, i lter,
or other optical element, then use the corrected version as a baseline for
further post work.
4.6.2.15 Issue: Mirror Warp
This mismatch occurs in beamsplitter rigs because portions of the
mirror may sag during image acquisition or may have manufacturing
