3.6.4 Terms
Other than an on-set dailies team, the editorial team is most likely to be
the i rst to view source imagery (or proxy versions of it) after production.
This means the editorial team is often the i rst to experience issues of depth,
geometry and color. It is critically important your team has a common
understanding of some key editorial terms.
3.6.4.1 Good 3D
It is critical that editorial teams stay current with show-specii c working
dei nitions  of terms, especially the term “good 3D.” A 3D show consists of
an image story as well as a depth story. For this reason, editorial teams can
benei t from understanding terms related to depth because depth decisions
impact editorial decisions and vice versa.
