Significant difference in tidal height in the study area was noticed during the collection of
data in different seasons of the year (Table 1). Tidal height fluctuations were recorded from
1.10±0.15 to 2.66±0.13m with a minimum value (0.90m) found in winter and a maximum
value (2.85m) recorded in monsoon during sampling session (Appendix A). Tidal height
gradually increased from winter towards the monsoon that was slowed down in premonsoon
