Organizational Best Practices
Adopting the cloud for your enterprise applications is not a trivial task. There are a
number of issues, factors, and options that need to be considered for a coherent cloud
deployment model. Here we list a few important features to ensure secure deployment
and quality assurance (QA).
Service Subscription Policy Create a policy that prohibits individual users from signing
up for business-related cloud services. Instead, individual users should subscribe at the
organizational level, which allows account management. It not only protects the cloud
infrastructure from a security perspective but also helps in smooth administration of
content control.
Service Provider Security Policy Ensure that the service provider follows industry secu-
rity standards and implements standard security frameworks (such as OWASP and PCI
DSS-type). This mitigates and remedies the security vulnerabilities from the start.
