Here are the steps:
1. You can click the Create VM Template icon to launch the creation wizard shown in
the following illustration, or alternatively go the Library view ➢ Actions pane ➢ New
Template.
2. Complete the wizard by filling in all the required information.
3. To select the source virtual machine, simply select any existing virtual machine
located on a host and then click the Select button.
4. In the Select Library Resource dialog box, select the virtual machine that you have
previously selected and then click the OK button.
5. In VHD Containing OS dialog, select the virtual disk that contains the system files
6. You then need to configure the template's identity. Enter the template name and
description and then specify an owner for the template. You can also configure hard-
ware settings if required.
Note that if the template will be used for virtual machine self-service, the
specified owner of the template will be the only one who can create, see,
and manage the virtual machines created from the template. However, all
VMM administrators will still be able to use the template.
