SITE ANALYSIS
Members of the project team conducted a detailed site analysis. Prior to the actual fieldwork, the
team members studied aerial photos, topographic maps, utility plans, ownership records, and pre-
vious reports obtained from the County. Combined, these documents provided valuable insights
into the history and various issues surrounding the project site. Observations from the site analysis
were recorded using the site analysis checklist presented in appendix 10. Using the information
in the checklist, a concept plan was developed (fig. 14-4). The site analysis checklist provided an
opportunity to record both observations and any action items resulting from the issues presented
in the field.
SWOT-C ANALYSIS
During the site analysis, preliminary assessments were made and the site analysis checklist items
were categorized according to their relative strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and con-
straints. After the site analysis fieldwork was complete, the project team summarized the findings
and developed a list of the SWOT-C items:
