PART V
Synthesis of the Process
We hope that this topic will take most, if not all, of the mystery out of how to do an ecological res-
toration project. Although not all projects are alike, the process we have discussed throughout can
work with all projects. We have included a small project that we feel demonstrates the use of our
framework in action. We end with a review of what we consider the important project planning
and management principles pertaining to ecological restoration. We cannot overemphasize the
importance of becoming part of the ecological restoration community. Exchanging experiences
and learning from and informing others are the best ways to learn and develop the practice.
