Director is a scene-manager library available that—while very useful and popular—is being phased
out, as Corona Labs is replacing it with its own version, called Storyboard. There was a time when
Director was more popular than Corona SDK itself. However, because Storyboard is officially
supported by Corona Labs and offers similar options, it is advised that you use Storyboard (although
Director is still widely used in a lot of e-books and games).
