5.2 Alternative data sources
The alternative data sources identified in
Fig. 1
broadly encompass
information not traditionally used or relied upon. They include existing,
publicly accessible data archives available via the Web such as those
of media websites like the Australian Broadcasting Corporation
(ABC) (www.abc.net.au) or the Melbourne newspaper
The Age
(www.theage.com.au), state or national libraries that have online cata-
logues to search with some content available digitally, and other organisa-
tional websites.
