Site Investigation and Testing
24.4.1 Program
At seven cross-sections, core drillings were sunk from the crest to some 30 m into the
foundation rock. The drillings were carried out vertically and parallel to the inclination
of the dam's surfaces at the upstream and the downstream side, respectively, and also
with an inclination of 45°. As an example, Fig. 24.6 shows core recovery from rubble
stone masonry and rock, respectively.
