The first 1100 m of the tunnel were carried out single-tracked with an excavation diam-
eter of the tunnel tube of ca. 8 m. An approximately 300 m long double-track section
follows with an excavated diameter of about 12 m. The height of the overburden varies
between 22 m and 87 m (Fig. 23.15).
