From this result, it was concluded that the K values seem to have different bounds for
different rock groups and that on average crystalline rocks are subject to higher hori-
zontal in-situ stresses than sedimentary rocks (Zang et al. 2012). In Zang et al. (2012)
a compilation of mean stress coefficients K can also be found, displayed systematically
according to lithology and tectonic faulting regime.
