Mirror from Windows & Older Macs
AirPlay Mirroring is great, but what if you use Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or Windows?

Windows XP or later.
Oncelaunched,AirParrotlivesinyourmenubarontheMacortheSystemTrayinWindows.
SelecttheAppleTVtomirroryourdisplayto,thenselectwhichscreenyouwishtomirror.By
default,AirParrotonlydisplaysvideo.Ifyouwantaudiomirroringaswell,selectStartAudio
from the menu and follow the onscreen prompts to install the required audio driver.
AirParrothasoneadvantageoverAirPlayMirroring:itcanmirrorasinglewindowinsteadof
thewholescreen.Fromthemenu,chooseSpecificApp,thenthedesiredapp,thenthespecif-
ic window.
Extend a Mavericks Desktop
InMavericks,bydefault,AirPlayDisplaymirrorsyourDesktop,butyoucaninstead“extend”
yourDesktoprightontoyourTVscreenthroughyourAppleTV.Youmightdothistodisplay
contentontheTVwhileyoucontinuetoworkonyourMac.Toaccomplishthis,firstclickthe
AirPlayiconinthemenubarandchooseAppleTV.Second,opentheAirPlaymenuagainand
choose Extend Desktop ( Figure 28 ).
