Trajan's Column Casts
Rising 140 feet and decorated with a spiral relief of 2,500 figures trumpeting the exploits
of the Roman Emperor Trajan (c. a.d. 100), this is a copy of the world's grandest column
from antiquity. The original column still stands in Rome, but the V&A's version was cast
from a copy in Paris. In fact, they had to cut it in half to fit it here.
