• The first half of our walk is nearly finished. Continue a few short blocks along Brewer
Street, observing the fascinating metamorphosis of a neighborhood from sleaze to gentri-
fication. When you reach The Crown Tavern, at the intersection of Brewer Street and Sher-
wood Street (also called Lower James Street), it's time to plan your next move.
If you're ready to call it quits, you could turn left onto Sherwood Street, walk one
block, and turn to here to finish up at Piccadilly Circus.

PART 2: SHOPPING STREETS AND PICCADILLY CIRCUS
The mile-long second half of this walk—along Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus, then
up the street called Piccadilly and down Jermyn Street—takes you by the most typically
London stores and shops. While useful for true shoppers, this walk is also a lot of fun for
window-shoppers.
