Wait until you have experienced all of the rides and the tram tour before
checking out
WaterWorld.
Because the show is located near the main entrance, most per-
formances are sold out. Arrive at the theater about 30 minutes before the showtime listed
in the daily entertainment schedule. Be careful where you sit; when this show says “splash
zone,” they mean it.

DESCRIPTION AND COMMENTS
Guests board boats for a water tour of Jurassic Park.
Everything is tranquil as the tour begins; the boat floats among large herbivorous dino-
saurs such as apatosaurus and stegosaurus. Then word is received that some of the carni-
vores have escaped their enclosure, and the tour boat is accidentally diverted into Jurassic
Park's water-treatment facility. Here the boat and its riders are menaced by an assortment
of hungry meat-eaters led by the ubiquitous
T. rex.
At the climactic moment, the boat and
its passengers escape by dropping over a waterfall.
Jurassic Park is impressive in its scale, but the number of dinosaurs is a little disap-
pointing. The big herbivores are given short shrift to set up the plot for the carnivore en-
counter, which leads to floating around in what looks like a brewery. When the carnivores
make their appearance, however, they definitely get your attention. The final drop down a
three-story flume to safety is a dandy, though not as impressive as its Orlando sibling.
TOURING TIPS
You can get very wet on this ride, and extra jets enabled during hot weather
practically ensure a soaking. Once the ride is under way, there's a little splashing but noth-
ing major until the big drop at the end. When you hit the bottom, enough water will cas-
cade into the boat to extinguish a three-alarm fire. Bring along an extra-large garbage bag
and (cutting holes for your head and arms) wear it like a sack dress. If you forget to bring
a garbage bag, you can purchase a poncho at the park for about $8.
