In-Depth Information
In addition to the time saving and convenience provided by the tram tour, most
of the live shows at Universal Studios Hollywood are performed in large theaters or
stadiums. Instead of standing in line outside, guests are usually invited to enter the
theater and wait in seated comfort for the production to begin.
TIMING Your VISIT
CROWDS ARE LARGEST IN THE SUMMER (Memorial Day-Labor Day) and during spe-
cific holiday periods during the rest of the year. Christmas Day-New Year's Day is
extremely busy, as are Thanksgiving weekend, the week of Washington's birthday,
spring break for schools and colleges, and the two weeks bracketing Easter. The
least busy time is from after Thanksgiving weekend until the week before Christmas.
The next slowest times are September through the weekend preceding Thanksgiving,
January 4 through the first week of March, and the week following Easter to Memori-
al Day weekend.
SELECTING THE DAY OF THE WEEK FOR YOUR VISIT
WEEKENDS ARE MORE CROWDED than weekdays year-round. Saturday is the busiest
day. Sunday, particularly Sunday morning, is the best bet if you have to go on a week-
end, but it is still extremely busy. During the summer, Friday is very busy; Monday,
Wednesday, and Thursday are usually less so; Tuesday is normally the slowest of all.
