DOWNTOWN DISNEY
DOWNTOWN DISNEY, verdant and landscaped by day, pops alive with neon and glitter
at night. The complex offers more than 300,000 square feet of specialty shopping,
clubs, restaurants, and movie theaters. Many of the restaurants offer entertainment in
addition to dining, including Crossroads at House of Blues and Ralph Brennan's
Jazz Kitchen. The ESPN Zone is a sports bar and restaurant with dozens of giant TV
screens. Other restaurant options include the Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria, Tortilla
Jo's Mexican restaurant, Earl of Sandwich, and jungle-themed dining at the Rain-
forest Cafe.
If you're not hungry, there's always shopping and a 12-theater AMC Movieplex
with IMAX 3-D to keep you occupied. A 40,000-square-foot World of Disney store,
the second largest on the planet, anchors the shopping scene. Other retailers include
Sanuk, a shoe store; LittleMissMatched, selling socks that don't match (for more
than you'd pay for socks that do); Apricot Lane, for fashion apparel, jewelry, hand-
bags, and accessories; Studio Disney 365, offering hairstyling and braiding for girls
who are a little too old for a princess makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Dis-
neyland Park; cosmetics at Sephora; and Something Silver, specializing in jewelry.
The recently renovated LEGO Imagination Center features interactive play tables
with LEGO bricks and life-size statues of Disney characters made entirely of LEGOs.
At Build-A-Bear Workshop, you can customize a teddy bear, starting from scratch
with the bearskin, stuffing it, and then accessorizing it.
