In-Depth Information
dozens of young urban professionals; old, diehard loyalists; and even a smattering of pro-
fessional athletes who play for the local Angels baseball and Anaheim Ducks hockey
teams dallying at the bar and/or enjoying dinner with friends and family.
HOUSE SPECIALTIES Grilled fresh fish, premium meats, and chops dominate the menu. The
Drunken Mahimahi, a lightly blackened fresh fillet splashed with tequila, is as good as it
is simple. And for steak lovers, the top sirloin may be the best cut you're likely to sample
anywhere.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS The lunch menu features butcher-block sandwiches: piles of
thinly sliced meats or fish piled high on fresh slabs of bread, accompanied by all the usual
condiments and some not-so-common spreads such as lemon aioli. For dinner, try the ter-
rific bone-in rib eye.
SUMMARY AND COMMENTS The Catch reopened in 2010 under new leadership and in a
brand-new location. Yes, the place is very expensive, but you're not likely to find a more
beautiful yet comfortable room, attentive service, or high-quality food prepared with love
and care anywhere close by. It has a vibrant bar scene favored by local luminaries, a beau-
tiful dining room, and even a nicely appointed patio.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS The steaks, including a baseball-cut top sirloin (a ball of
meat with all the flavor of a sirloin and the tenderness of a filet mignon), are surprisingly
good for a sports bar.
SUMMARY AND COMMENTS Clancy's is a great alternative to the crammed insanity of the
ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney. The menu is expansive and has sports bar staples such
as chicken wings and a decent cut of beef. Lots of locals and a friendly vibe; service can
be sporadic.
