In-Depth Information
Selections
Hot dog basket, kids' turkey dog, and mac and cheese.
Comments
Food's not bad, but there's really no place to sit and eat it.
Redd Rockett's Pizza Port
Selections
Redd Rockett's is set up cafeteria-style, typically with two or three kinds of pasta
available, as well as pizzas and salads. All hot items sit under heat lamps until someone
grabs them, but servers will be happy to mix up a fresh bowl of pasta or a pizza on request
(a much better choice). Try the Asian chicken salad if it's available—slightly spicy with
good flavor. Free drink refills are available.
Comments
Thecafeteria-stylesetupusuallymeanslesswaiting.TheA/Csystemisonsteroids,
making it a really cool place on a hot day. Even on the busiest days, there's ample room to
sit on the outdoor patio.
Refreshment Corner
Selections
Hot dogs, chili-cheese dogs, and chili in a bread bowl.
Comments
Not much of a selection, but dogs are good. Limited seating.
Royal Street Veranda
Selections
Steak gumbo, vegetarian gumbo, and clam chowder, all served in a sourdough bread
bowl; coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and fritters (fried dough balls) for dessert.
Comments
Usually not crowded. Veggie gumbo and clam chowder are the best, though all are
seasoned well. You have to look hard to find any steak in the steak gumbo. Don't miss the
fritters with fruit dipping sauce.
Stage Door Café
Selections
Chicken nuggets, fish-and-chips, funnel cakes, and corn dogs.
Comments
The stand on Main Street has better corn dogs, but the fish-and-chips are decent.
Try the funnel cakes if you like those (who doesn't?).
