Click anywhere outside the selection to close the panel.

Drag the cursor across the selected area until it's fully painted blue. Don't
worry about staying within the selection; you can't affect anything outside
the selection as you paint.
Note
Clicking anywhere in the work area closes the context menu.

When the bar is colored in, choose Select > Deselect so that nothing is se-
lected.
