Internal Network Measuring Tool
The MSK communication network project involved research, such as the verifica-
tion of the network solution characteristics, including performance evaluation.
Leading Designer 4 therefore designed an internal traffic generation and perfor-
mance measuring tool (Lewoc et al. 2006a , b , c ), called Sitwa (Fig. 8.13 ). The tool
was then successfully developed and commissioned by a team of three students.
Sitwa was used to make performance measurements of MSK, which were used to
tune and validate the analytical performance tool.

Approximate Network Analytical Performance Evaluation
Tool (Anapaest)
In support of the project research goals, Leading Designer 4 designed and devel-
oped Anapaest for performance evaluation of computer networks (Lewoc et al.
2010c ). Anapaest is a heuristic method which was developed using existing net-
working knowledge and validated with the available analytical methods, internal
