and perchlorate continued to be removed for 22 days of testing. The capacity of the media
used in the column test was calculated to be 3.3 mg/g, which is slightly lower than that esti-
mated by the batch test (3.9 mg/g). This showed that at an empty bed contact time (EBCT) of
60 min, the media does saturate and has a reasonably good capacity for removing perchlorate.
