the stringent prescribed levels of luoride. The tool of nanotechnology and material sci-
ences is expected to ill crucial gaps identiied in deluoridation approaches, while improv-
ing the techno-economic feasibility of already developed technologies would continue to
be a challenge. There is a need to improve technologies to suit to rural applications with
minimum operation and maintenance. High-capacity nanomaterials can be considered as
potential options under these circumstances.
