When the panel family is used in a project, the filled region adjusts to the
different sizes of the panel, creating the desired representation for the panel
in a plan view, as shown in Figure 18.10 .

Unlike annotation families, detail components are not drawn at their print
size. When you create a detail component family for use as a symbol, such
as for a wall-mounted light fixture, you must draw the symbol to scale. The
detail component will not adjust to changes in the view scale.
