The Filter Tab
The next tab in the Schedule Properties dialog box is the Filter tab. The
settings on this tab allow you to filter out unwanted items in your schedule.
You can set certain criteria for parameter values that objects in the schedule
category must meet in order to be included in the schedule. This is very
usefulwhenschedulingacategorythathasmanyuniquetypesofitems,such

a Pump schedule, you would have to schedule the Mechanical Equipment
category. Without applying a filter to your schedule, all items categorized as
Mechanical Equipment would show up in your schedule.
You can apply up to eight conditions that an object must meet to make it
into the schedule. To set a condition for a parameter, that parameter must
be included in your schedule. If you want to use a parameter for filtering but
do not want it to show up in your schedule, you can use the options on the
Formatting tab to hide the column of the unwanted parameter. There are
some parameters (such as Cost, Family, and Type) to which you are not able
to apply conditions.

filter conditions applied to it.
