Selecting Model Elements
Clicking an element to select it does not mean that you are borrowing
that element. You must modify it in some way—by changing one of its
properties, by moving it, or by making the element editable—before you
can borrow it.
Apart from directly editing an object to make it editable, there are two other
ways to make it editable. Select an object and you will see the Make Element
Editable symbol appear, as shown in Figure 3.18 ; clicking this symbol gives
you control of the object.

The alternative is to select one or more objects and right-click. This gives
you the option to make either the object(s) or the entire worksets editable,
as shown in Figure 3.19 .
