By taxi Taxis wait directly outside the arrivals concourse and charge around F$9 to Martintar,
F$13 to Wailoaloa or Downtown or F$25 to Denarau Island or Vuda.
BY BUS
Arriving in Nadi, buses or minivans will drop you at the main terminus in Downtown, with
many continuing on to the airport. Once at the bus station, you buy tickets from the booths
run by the individual companies.
Express buses Of the express buses, easily the most comfortable is the a/c Coral Sun (
672 3105 or 672 6392; daily departures from Nadi Airport to Suva at 7.30am & 1pm;
30min later from Downtown Nadi; F$22; 4hr), with large cushioned seats and big windows.
Other options include Sunbeam Transport ( 666 2086; 6 daily from Nadi Airport to Suva,
9am-2.15pm; F$15.70; 5hr) and Pacific Transport ( 670 0044; 5 daily from Nadi Airport
to Suva, 6.50am-5.50pm; F$15.10; 5hr). There's roughly one express bus every hour to Lau-
toka (7am-6pm; 45min; F$2.80).
Local buses Local buses (F$2.80) depart every 10-15min, stop frequently along the Queens
Rd and take double the time of express buses.
Minivans Minivans can be substantially quicker than buses but are often hair-raising exper-
iences and you won't get to see much of the scenery along the way. They cost F$17 to Suva,
departing from Raniga St beyond the bus stand in Downtown Nadi.
Destinations Lautoka (40 daily; 45min-1hr 45min); Sigatoka (18 daily; 1hr-1hr 45min);
Suva via Pacific Harbour (13 daily; 4-5hr).
BY FERRY
Arriving by sea you will likely be pulling into Port Denarau , served by fast catamarans from
the Yasawas or Mamanucas, or if travelling by yacht, Vuda Marina .
Destinations from Port Denarau Beachcomber (4 daily; 45min); Bounty (4 daily; 35min);
Castaway (3 daily; 1hr 50min); Mana (3 daily; 1hr 25min); Malolo (3 daily; 2hr); Malolo
Lailai (3 daily; 55min); Matamanoa (2 daily; 1hr 30min); South Sea (4 daily; 30min);
Tokoriki (2 daily; 1hr 45min); Vomo (daily; 1hr 15min); Yasawa Islands, Kuata to Nacula
(daily; 2-5hr).
Destinations from Wailoaloa Beach Mana (2 daily; 50min).
BY TAXI
A taxi will set you back around F$60 to Lautoka or F$250 to Suva; negotiate in advance.
