INFORMATION
Tourist information There is no official tourist information at the airport. However, just after
passing customs on the right-hand side, you'll find an accommodation bulletin board where
you can make free calls to advertised hotels around Nadi. Once inside the general public area,
a help desk manned by Airport Fiji Limited can point you in the right direction for taxis,
buses, tour operators and travel agents. The airport has a reputation for accommodation touts
- a firm “no” should suffice if being pestered. If you need booking assistance, call in on the
reliable Sun Vacations ( 672 4273; open 24hr) to the right of Western Union currency ex-
change.
Facilities The airport has free basic showers at both the domestic and arrival concourse toilets
and you can leave luggage in a secure 24hr storage room at the far corner of the departures
concourse (F$10 per day per suitcase or backpack).
GETTING INTO TOWN
Bear in mind most hostels and hotels offer complimentary pick-ups for international flight
arrivals; arrange this in advance when you book your accommodation.
By bus Express buses running between Lautoka and Suva call in at the departures concourse
and will drop you in Downtown, 20min to the south (F$1.30). Regular local buses stop along
the Queens Rd opposite Raffles Gateway Hotel , a 2min walk from the arrivals concourse,
between 6am and 6pm and cost F$1.10 into town.
