Once you're behind the prison-
like walls which barricade this large resort from the highway, the atmosphere is rather quaint,
albeit cramped. The duplex and quad bures are prettily painted and set in landscaped grounds.
Interiors are bright and airy, most with a/c and some with outdoor courtyard showers. The
beach
is adequate, and there's good reef surfing in the passage 1hr either side of high tide.

With just 25 bures, some
interconnecting, this is the smallest of the Coral Coast resorts, sedate but slightly dated. The
ocean and garden bures are comfortable, with high roofs, ceiling fans and plenty of open
spaces between them. If you're looking for something simple, with a small swimming pool
and
good
restaurant, this pretty beachfront resort is great value. Includes continental break-
fast.

Liveliest of the large hotels in Fiji,
probably thanks to the excellent-value meals-and-drinks-inclusive packages which cover al-
cohol. Within the resort's 38 acres there are 220 a/c rooms, five tennis courts, a nine-hole
pitch and putt golf course and two swimming pools. The staff are
very
attentive, especially
with children, and there's also a kids' club and babysitting service.

Marketed as a “flashpack-
er” resort, this is a fun place to party, although it may be a little expensive for budget travel-
lers. The four seven-bed dorms have individual bamboo screens and lockers, whilst the smart
safari tents, also set back a fair way from the beach, have polished timber floors and en-suite
bathrooms. The ten beachfront bures are best suited to young couples and come with out-
door courtyard showers. There's a good restaurant, lively bar and nightclub and even an out-
door cinema. Game fishing and scuba diving are organized daily, with PA
