This endearing and friendly Indian-
run café is brightly coloured inside and out, and serves the town's best coffee and cakes (F$4),
as well as healthy salads and juices.

Chilli Tree Café

Lautoka's best option for a simple breakfast or
sandwich lunch, serving cakes for around F$4, good coffee for F$5.50, a full breakfast for
F$15.90 or kebabs and wraps for F$14.

At the Tanoa Waterfront hotel, Marine Drive 666 4777.
Lautoka's only
fine-dining restaurant has a handful of outdoor tables boasting ocean views, although the
modern interior is café-style. The broad but overpriced menu includes beer-battered fish and
chips (F$22.50), grilled local market fish (F$25), curry of the day (F$27) and local beef fillet
(F$45).

Jolly Good
Corner of Naviti & Vakabale streets.
Convenient café if you're after a quick bite,
with counter-cooked food served from a large trailer and covered outdoor tables opposite the
market. The fish and chips are excellent value at F$6.75 and the F$1.30 ice cream is worth
savouring.

The bar of this social club is a good place to
meet a few locals over a cheap draught beer, or play snooker on a full-sized table for 50 cents
a game. Also serves bar snacks and meat pies.
