and—oops. You're stepping into a pile of round brown pellets that Peggy informs you is
musk ox poop. “Don't worry, they're very tame.” Turn seaward and all of Nome is spread
out before you, with Norton Sound in the background, a breath-taking blue vastness all
the way to Russia.
Then it's back to Peggy's house, where Chuck is waiting with fresh king crab. I've been
having a very king crabby year. Just so you know, I'm not complaining.
