the Add button to save your changes.
You can delete users from a group on the Group Members screen. By clicking on the
icon on the same row as the user, the membership of that user will be removed.
Administrating users
We are now able to add users and groups to Confluence, and administer group
memberships. There will be a point where we have to look up a user, change his
or her details, or send a new password.
Searching for users
When we want to add users to certain groups, spaces, or do anything that has to do
with permissions, we have the option to search for users. Whenever you are able to
search for users within Confluence, a magnifying glass icon will be shown. When we
click on this icon, a new pop up will be shown, giving us the following two options
to search for users:
• Simple search
• Membership search
Note that the search is not case sensitive; it doesn't make a difference if
you type either upper- or lowercase text. Wildcards are supported but
there is no need to use them, the search will return the same results.
